Where we ship
We ship the DIY scan kit and finished sculptures to all 27 EU member states, plus Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. If your country is not on the dropdown at checkout, write to us at hello@studiogravida.com — we may still be able to arrange delivery.
The DIY scan kit — the weekly cycle
The kit follows a fixed weekly rhythm so we can keep timing predictable and shipping costs included.
- Wednesday: the kit ships from Haarlem by tracked PostNL international service.
- Thursday: the kit arrives at your door in most EU countries. Outlying regions (rural Spain, Greek islands, parts of Scandinavia) may take one extra day — we will let you know in advance.
- Friday to Sunday: the kit is yours. Scan when the light and the day feel right.
- Monday: drop the kit off at any local courier point using the prepaid return label that came in the box.
If your kit arrives damaged or late
Open the box on arrival and check the scanner. If anything is damaged or missing, write to us within 24 hours and do not attempt to scan. We will dispatch a replacement kit and reschedule your week at no extra cost.
Customs and local handling
For non-EU destinations (Norway, Switzerland, UK), import duties and local handling fees are arranged by us in advance and included in your booking — there is nothing for you to settle at the door. EU shipments cross borders without customs formalities.
The sculpture
Once your scan is back with us and approved through the digital preview, we begin the work. Production typically takes three to five weeks for resin, four to six weeks for hand-finished pieces, and six to eight weeks for cast bronze. Your sculpture is shipped insured by tracked courier in protective packaging once it is ready.
We will send tracking details by email when the sculpture leaves the atelier. Most pieces arrive within three to five business days of dispatch.
Returns
The DIY kit
The kit must be returned by the Monday following your reserved week. The €200 deposit is refunded once the kit is back with us in good condition — typically within three working days of receipt.
The sculpture
Sculptures are made to order from your personal scan. As with most custom-made goods under EU consumer law, the standard 14-day right of return does not apply once production has begun. We mitigate this by sending a digital preview before any sculpture is cast — production only starts when you give the word.
If something is wrong
If a sculpture arrives damaged in transit, photograph the package and the piece on receipt and write to us within 48 hours. We will arrange replacement at our cost. If a finishing fault appears within the first twelve months of normal indoor use, contact us — most issues can be repaired or remade.
The €200 deposit, in full
We hold a €200 deposit at booking to cover the rare case of damage or non-return of the scanner. Once the kit is back with us in good condition:
- If you order a sculpture, the full €200 is refunded to your account, or applied as credit toward the sculpture — your choice.
- If you are not ready to order yet, we refund €100 and convert the remaining €100 into a transferable gift card you can use later or pass on as a gift.
- If the scanner is returned damaged, the deposit may be partly retained. Wear and tear from normal use is not charged for.
