About this piece

A coin held in the palm, cast from the hand or footprint of your child. The earliest ridges, the softness of a heel, kept in solid metal. Sized to rest in your hand rather than to wear on a chain. Available in silver, gold-plated, or 14K gold.

The print is taken at home, then scanned and refined at the atelier in Haarlem before we cast the coin one at a time. A small object with the whole weight of a beginning behind it.
